You may have bought a used 1986-1987 Turbo Regal and it may be missing this catalytic converter. Or it may need to be replaced… a faulty converter can clog your turbo’s ability to breathe.

We offer a low restrictive catalytic converter weighing less than 8 pounds and is EPA certified! It is not a universal converter, but one that will directly bolt into your Turbo Regal with the correct flange on the one end.

In order to legally replace your converter, EPA rules dictate that a car must be at least 5 years old or have 50,000 miles on it and the converter must need to be replaced either because it is missing from your car or because the original converter is starting to break down.

On turbo cars with the amount of heat they develop, the converter can begin to break down internally and clog your exhaust system. The EPA rules dictate that replacement catalytic converters must go in the same location as the original converter. This unit bolts into that same area and has the same mounting flange. EPA rules also dictate that you must keep your old converter for 15 days, if indeed your car had a converter on it.

Because the converter is an emission control device, it is important that the above rules are met when considering the replacement of your catalytic converter.

We also offer a 3″ DIRECT replacement Part #6720 bolt-in catalytic converter that will ONLY fit with a 3″ conversion down pipe. It is similar in appearance to the one pictured.
