LINDA VAUGHN - “MISS HURST” - AUTOGRAPHED LID and Certificate of Authenticity

The lid is a brand new exact reproduction chrome-plated Pontiac style tri- power air cleaner lid and is personally autographed on the top.

The lid measures approximately 5-3/4″ in diameter, and are made in the U.S.A. in copper, so they will never rust or pit.

LINDA VAUGHN - “MISS HURST” -
Linda Vaughn, also known as “Miss Hurst,” “Miss Hurst Golden Shifter” and the “First Lady of Drag Racing,” has been involved with every automotive competition from the mid-1960s.

Linda was elected to the Drag Racing Hall of Fame and was also chosen the Speciality Equipment Manufacturer (SEMA) Person of the Year. Over the years, she has also appeared in several movies, including Gumball Rally (1976).

Today, she can still be found at many of the national reunion events and races throughout the USA. One of the most recognized woman associated with the performance car era.

For more than 45 years Linda Vaughn has been the featured attraction at major venues such as Daytona and Indianapolis, drag racing’s nationals and even the Formula One circuit. Fans far and wide embrace her, line up for autographs and take pictures.

Race enthusiasts will remember the many times she’d strike a pose in an alway unique and eye-catching Hurst outfit while hanging onto a giant 12-foot Hurst shifter mounted on the rear deck of various pace cars, most notably Oldsmobiles.

Over the years, she has appeared at all the major racetracks. Linda Vaughn has always been recognized as “Miss Hurst” and “Miss Hurst Golden Shifter.” Even today, her many public appearances always draw a crowd!
