REPRODUCTION SOLENOID HEAT SHIELD

This high quality reproduction heat shield was original equipment on the 1967 GTO with the HO and Ram Air option engines.

A must have item for any year GTO / Firebird that has been fitted with the larger factory headers or aftermarket headers.

The amount of clearance between the driver’s side manifold and the starter is quite close and extreme heat can shorten the life span of the starter. It is made from a slightly thicker material then the original was. It will fit your stock solenoid. It attaches to the front and rear of the solenoid.
