01-11-2012 Inner Circle

Greetings Turbo Regal Inner Circle Members - 01-11-2012

It was recently brought to my attention by several readers of our Inner Circle, I completely forgot about our annual Christmas M & M contest.

This is a tradition we started years ago and not only at Christmas, but also whenever we are involved with a car show event. So with that in mind, we now prepared our M & M contest for the New Year.

Here are the rules -

You can make as many as 3 guesses. All 3 guesses MUST all be in the same single email.

You must email me directly - [email protected] - to be eligible. Do not forward email to source that sent you this Inner Circle.

Contest is open to anyone except those that are working for or own a Buick-related mail-order company.

Closest guess UNDER actual count is the winner. In case of a tie, earliest email is the winner.

The deadline is this coming Saturday, January 14th, 2012, 12 noon eastern time.

Good luck one and all!

PHOTO 1 - Shows the actual M & M contest container. It is a reproduction of a standard glass oil container that was used in the early days of the automobile prior to the metal quart cans. (Before my time!) The container is glass and holds a liquid quart. In the container we have placed a 4-ounce bottle of ZDDPlus™. We then filled the container and spout with M & Ms.

The prizes are as follows -

First Prize - The actual container as shown with 4 extra bottles of ZDDPlus™ for your engine.

Second Prize - 4 bottles of ZDDPlus™

Third Prize - 2 bottles of ZDDPlus™

Jim Wangers is a long-time personal friend of ours. He is well known in Pontiac circles because of his involvement with GTOs. For many years he has been a featured speaker at the National GTO events and Pontiac events. Jim is thinning out his car collection in sunny California. He recently celebrated his 85th birthday. The sale of the cars is being handled by Robert Johnson, the person who takes care of his car collection. He can supply you with more information as well as photos. His phone number is 760-533-0028 and his email is - [email protected]

Jim bought the 1987 Grand National new in Chicago, Illinois, and currently has under 20,000 actual miles. Car has T-tops, a GNX-style dash, Enkei wheels, stainless exhaust, and a 400 watt Alpine sound system. The car has several other upgrades as well. Paint is original but has suffered the usual checking and fading. Excellent driver quality priced at $17,000.

The 1989 Turbo Trans Am is one of the very rare ones with cloth interior, has just under 16,000 miles and is 100% stock. It was purchased directly from Pontiac in 1989 and was one of the 30 Indy Parade cars and later used for the PR department at Pontiac. Car comes complete with full documentation and Pontiac Historical Society papers as well. Here is a chance to own one of the rare Turbo Trans Ams. Asking $42,500 but will consider other offers.

Both cars are located in California.

PHOTO 2 - We show several photos of Jim Wangers' 1987 Grand National that we mentioned above.

PHOTO 3 - Here we show several photos of Jim's 1989 Turbo Trans Am that we mentioned above. I am told just 23 cars received the cloth interior and this is one of those collectible cars.

This week we are spot lighting a 1991 Corvette convertible with the removable hardtop option. What makes this Corvette an outstanding buy is the fact it only has less than 3,400 actual original miles. It is bright red with a black leather interior. The car from any angle would pass for brand new. The leather still has the satin look. The car is 100% bone stock. The car is automatic with a clean Car Fax. This car is located only a few miles from our office.

Over the years, I have bought 4 vehicles the dealer that has this car for sale. The Corvette can be had for just under $16,000. They have it advertised for more. To get this special price, you must email me - [email protected] We will provide you with the sales person's name and phone number. They can also forward you photos. Not many opportunities come up to own a low-mileage desirable car at a good price that you can take to shows as well as enjoy! Come this summer the value on this car increases!

PHOTO 4 - We show photos of the 1991 Corvette with less than 3,400 actual miles. The car is the right color combination!

Like many of you, I watched the playoffs this past weekend. By far, the best game was the last game Sunday featuring the Steelers playing the Broncos in Denver. Perhaps it was an omen, but did you notice on the opening kick, the ball hit the goal post and bounced back and landed squarely on the 20 yard line?

The real clincher was in overtime. The game was over in a mere 11 seconds, which was quicker than when the referee explained the overtime rules during the coin flip! I'm sure that is another record that will stand for many years.

This car is still available at $20,900. This is for the 400-mile red 2002 SLP Formula Firebird we pictured in the 11-16-2011 Inner Circle. This car will be finding a new home at some point.

We have reduced the price of the metal embossed GNX logo license plates. The new price is only $10.95. The part number is #7271. They are in stock.

This GNX design features the "GNX" logo and the quote "A HIGH-PERFORMANCE INVESTMENT FOR THE FORTUNATE 547." in white and red lettering embossed on a black metal license plate. Plate is GM licensed. A great front plate for your GNX. Also makes an excellent gift.

7271 - GM Licensed "GNX" Logo and Quote License Plate $10.95

We will soon be offering a high-quality reproduction of original state inspection stickers that would have been on your car back in 1986 and 1987 for various states that have state inspections. We will be carrying the inspection stickers for Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Ohio and Pennsylvania for sure. Our source will also be able to supply stickers from other states, and ones that are dated earlier than 1987.

We need stock original 1986-1987 AC Delco mass air flow sensors. They are worth a $25 Letter of Credit.

We do not pay cash. You must pay the shipping to us and pack the item well. Using the postal system is probably the cheapest method to ship.

Remember, cores help us help others keep their Turbo Regals on the road using factory parts. Without cores, a valuable portion of what customers need get discontinued.

Got any turbo parts you are not using? Why not cash them in for parts you need with a Letter of Credit. Simply email me a list - [email protected]

Also, we are still buying dead or partially dead 1984-1987 Turbo Regals under $4,000 that are within 250 to 350 miles of our location.

NOTE ABOUT PHOTOS ON THE WEBSITE - We have heard from a couple people that have viewed the photos on the website. Because these have to be low-resolution photos to work on the Inner Circle segments on the website, any photos of text don't appear clear when enlarged. This is a problem when you are trying to see numbers, such as those on the VIN labels or pages from Options booklet. Also, because of photo reproduction and computer screen variations, the colors may not be true to the actual product or photo.

If you would like to have us email you any photo at the higher resolution for viewing, just email us and we will email them to you. Be sure to be specific on which pictures you want to see - Reference Inner Circle date and photo number 1, 2, 3 or 4 - [email protected]
