ANOTHER 1987 GRAND NATIONAL - FOR SALE –
This refurbished 1987 Grand National is local to us. The seller has purchased many of the parts from us to refurbish this 1987 Grand National. Options include - T-Tops, power seat, tilt, cruise, delay wipers, power windows, posi rear, power antenna (works), and power locks. It has a later GM factory am/fm CD player. The actual miles are 69,000.
The trunk ID label is untouched, spare and jack appear to have never been used. The car spent most of its life in Texas with the previous owner. The car has only been driven about 500 miles since 1993, according to the Texas inspection and paperwork. The tires look brand new, but are over 20 years old and need to be replaced! Car is 99.9% stock. The only two non-original items I spotted under the hood are injectors and the plug wires. The air box, and intercooler hoses are factory stock.
The seller gave the car a professional fresh repaint, even going as far as redoing all the trim in the correct satin black, including the grille, headlight bezels, and all the moldings. All the weather strips are new as is the hood insulation pad. The gas tank has been dropped and cleaned. Also, a fresh tune up and gas filter. Car has all the original wheels and center caps.
The interior is all original and in very good condition showing virtually no wear at all. You do have the typical sun fade due to the car having T-Tops and spending most of its life in Texas.
The doors shut like new. I drove this Grand National and it is extremely tight and rattle free. The transmission shifts nice and crisp. The age of the tires becomes evident at highway speeds. You can clearly tell this Grand National has never been run hard and having less than 70,000 miles on a 35-year-old car is low miles. The seller has gone to great extent to make the exterior like new and original in all aspects. The interior is virtually like new. Under the hood needs to be detailed as does the frame and suspension. The seller has paperwork going back to when the car was in Texas. The car was actually bought used from O’Neil Buick/GMC, which is the same dealership that handled all my 325-plus transactions! In Photo 1 we show 4 photos of this 1987 Grand National.

2010 FORD SEDAN EX-COP CAR - FOR SALE –
This 2010 Ford sedan ex-cop car, like the Dodge Ram Dually, is at the small local dealership that I work with. Used cop cars have a certain following. They have certain options or features that the regular cars lack, such as a beefed-up suspension and calibrated speedometer, which result in a better stiffer ride. Not to mention the fact that you can scare other drivers into slowing down!
This is a 2010 Ford sedan that was originally white and is now black. It still has the bolted down divider so rear passengers can’t reach the front seat area! Car is PA inspected with a straight body with 143,000 actual miles. It has the Ford V8 4.6 litre engine. The typical holes found on the exterior have been plugged where various antennas and lights would have been installed. It has wider than stock steel black wheels with dog dish hubcaps. THE KIRBAN AUTO EASEL - “AIR CLEANER STYLE” - IS COMING SOON –
With Devyn home for Spring Break, (which due to the virus has now been extended indefinitely) she and Darrell have been working on two other Auto Easel designs. The idea was to make something to capture the older muscle car market and the huge Corvette market in particular.
The key feature that all the older American Muscle cars and many street rods have in common is a carburetor topped off with an air cleaner secured by a single wing nut on a stud. Like our new hood latch design, that center stud on the air cleaner is centered on the engine.
The issue with Corvettes is that the hood opens in reverse so any display format would have to face both sides of the Corvette, rather than the front. The view from the front is blocked by the open hood.
As of this writing Darrell and Devyn already have one prototype made for cars other than the Corvette.
They are working on a similar design that will have a dual display panel geared for the Corvette market. A dual panel display will let Corvette show car owners have their display visible to both sides of their car. We predict the Corvette market will be huge as many of those owners show their pride and joy.
Local to us is a major Corvette restoration shop. I have known the owner for well over a dozen years. Years ago, his shop was near our shop in Ivyland. Like us, he moved his shop up to the Plumsteadville area. He always has at least a dozen or more early Corvettes at his shop, many of which are extremely nice cars.
In the next photo, we show the prototype of the single-sided Auto Easel display stand on various Corvettes that have an air cleaner. Like our Auto Easel for the hood latch design, this format puts the display at the center and at the proper reading level. The Auto Easel will not be affected by wind or with someone tripping over the display. We are not sure yet how big these poster signs can be as there are some limitations with the engine and the dual-sided display panel.
By making two versions using the air cleaner stud on various cars, it gives us four different Auto Easel display stands. This will cover a huge segment of the car show market. With the format of these two designs working of the air cleaner stud, I expect the retail price structure to be less than the first two versions we produced that work of the hood latch.

The bottom left and bottom right photos show it on a very rare tri-power Corvette Sting Ray. In the one photo, we turn the display panel to face forward to show how it would look on a typical A-body GTO or Chevelle.
I can’t wait to show it on a tri-power center air cleaner on a 1964 or 1965 GTO. In the GTO world, my name has a huge recognition among old-time collectors. I am a nominee for the next 3 years for the Pontiac Hall of Fame. We will be offering all four versions to the various other vendors and suppliers. Watch for updates and pricing soon on the single-sided display panel and the dual-panel display Corvette version. We expect to have these in production in time for this upcoming 2020 show car season.
MORE COLLECTIBLES FOR SALE -
These items can be found for sale in the Rare Parts section. The 1987 Buick Buyers Guide is 48 pages in length. It covers all the Buick models in full color for the 1987 model year. It shows not only the Grand National, but the desirable WE4 and a Turbo-T Limited model. What I find interesting is they actually show a WE4 without calling it a WE4. The brochures come out at the beginning of the year, so it’s evident Buick knew they would be releasing the special WE4 model in 1987. The one photo in the brochure is identical to the large WE4 banner we sell.
I also came across the postcard various dealers would mail out with their dealership information on one side. This postcard features the 1986 Grand National, which would have been the most popular and talked about model in the Buick lineup in 1986 and also in 1987.
Finding any original Buick literature today on the Turbo Regals and Grand Nationals is extremely difficult. Very little was printed back when the cars were new. The big coverage came in various car magazines once it was discovered how quick the Turbo engine was in the Regal format.

Remember, as long as the hood latch extends above the core support by 1½", this Auto Easel Car Show Hood Latch Display Stand will fit. You don’t have to get it centered on the hood latch since you can adjust your display panel so the display panel is centered in front of the car or truck.
STORIES THAT CAUGHT MY INTEREST THIS PAST WEEK –
Here are some stories from this past week that caught my interest.
Two brothers hoping to capitalize on the shortages related to hand sanitizers bought up over 17,000 bottles and tried to market it on Amazon. Amazon acted quickly and locked down their ads. A smart move by Amazon as they would have faced a lot of bad publicity on letting individuals profit on the misfortunes of others. They have since apologized.
One of the most unusual stories last week happened in New York. A 90-year-old resident spearheaded a community effort to shave off multiple stories of a nearly completed Upper West Side condominium building. A judge revoked a ruling stating they may have to remove as many as 20 floors of a 52-story building.
This would not be an easy task to accomplish and the costs would be extremely high. Her claim is it blocks the view and this 52-story building would only allow the rich to see the sun and the sky. I think the simplest solution would be to simply let her have one of the condos at the same price she is paying in her current condo for the rest of her life.

One of the best and easiest upgrades to make that does not hurt the value of your Turbo Regal in any way is to purchase our headlight kit. The headlights look like factory headlights and have the removable bulbs. The harness in the kit simply plugs into the existing harness with relays. No wires get cut. 1993 CAMARO PACE CAR – IS STILL AVAILABLE FOR SALE –
I recently discovered a real nice original 1993 Camaro Pace Car for sale local to me. Car has 22,000 miles on it. The price tag seems reasonable at $14,900. I was able to reach the person in charge of the repair shop that is selling the car for their customer. They do have the Window Sticker. It is quite nice. The interior is close to mint. You can tell the car has had great care since new. I did hear it run. Interior is mint as is the body. A few hours spent detailing this car would make it show worthy. 2009 DODGE RAM 3500 DUALLY TURBO DIESEL – IS STILL AVAILABLE FOR SALE –
This is a remarkable 2009 Dodge Ram 3500 truck with just 24,000 miles on it. That averages less than 2,000 miles a year! The truck is garage kept and just one owner (a non-smoker.) It comes with Window Sticker. It’s a four-wheel drive, four door crew cab, with Laramie SLT package (top of the line), black exterior with grey leather interior. The interior still smells factory new inside and nothing shows any wear. The owner used it strictly for long trips pulling a trailer. They have a second one they use for work.

1985 REGAL LIMITED CHEVY V8 POWERED - STILL AVAILABLE - FOR SALE –
One of our relatives local to us is having us sell their custom-built 1985 Regal Limited that has been in the family since new. This 1985 Regal Limited has always been garaged, never hit, or smoked in. Our son Darrell repainted this car the factory color back in 2003 for $2,000. At 128,000 miles, the engine was converted with a brand GM 350/330 HP crate motor at a cost of $5,200. This was backed up with a rebuilt turbo 400 transmission. A local shop that we deal with redid the rear putting in a new eaton posi with, I believe, to be 3.08 gears. Gear ratio is perfect for high speed cruising.
Being a Limited, it is very well optioned and even the power antenna works. It has Bilstein shocks. Tires are fairly new. The tire size is 205/75 by 14s. Riding on the original 14 by 6 steel wheels with full Regal wheel covers.
With just a few Turbo Regal upgrades this would be an extremely nice solid handling Regal. I you install set of 16 by 8s on all four corners, a Turbo-T steering box, a rear sway bar, and a leather wheel, it will not only ride better, but look better too. The doors shut like they are brand new. The driver’s power pillow seat is the only interior part that shows very minor wear along the edge and around the power switch. A set of tasteful 3 gauges hang of the bottom edge of the dash under the radio. The power seat motor runs but does not function. Headliner will need to be replaced. The steering column has movement in the one section of the tilt.
The current mileage is 135,000, so that is less than 10,000 miles on a brand new GM crate motor. Electric fan with a V8 radiator handles the cooling. The AC has been completely rebuilt. Car has long-branch headers that dump into a new GNX exhaust system. Bigger front sway bar was installed. MSD ignition and an Edelbrock 4-barrell carburetor are fed with a cold air system. The adult owner has never once driven it hard to chirp the tires. Car still has its original half-padded roof. Body and paint are real nice with zero rust. All the stainless and emblems are in good condition. Nothing is missing. Bumpers also are close to new. All the critical labels are still intact, including the SPID label on the inside trunk lid. This car is a bargain and has had excellent care since new.

Instead they deliver the packages to the old address and leave them outside. They refuse to forward and say that we should notify the shipper. In most cases, we have no idea when we are getting packages shipped back to us.

We are now offering high-quality reproduction Grand National emblems for the front fenders and trunk lid. All 1986-1987 GNs used three emblems; one on each fender and one on the driver’s side trunk lid. The 1984-1985 GNs only used two emblems; one on each fender.
This striking silver, red, orange and black enamel-like finish emblem measures 5-3/8" x 1-7/8" and comes with a self-adhesive backing.
NOTE - If you need to replace an emblem on your car, it’s best to replace all three at the same time so they all look new.

ANOTHER 1987 GRAND NATIONAL - FOR SALE –
This refurbished 1987 Grand National is local to us. The seller has purchased many of the parts from us to refurbish this 1987 Grand National. Options include - T-Tops, power seat, tilt, cruise, delay wipers, power windows, posi rear, power antenna (works), and power locks. It has a later GM factory am/fm CD player. The actual miles are 69,000.
The trunk ID label is untouched, spare and jack appear to have never been used. The car spent most of its life in Texas with the previous owner. The car has only been driven about 500 miles since 1993, according to the Texas inspection and paperwork. The tires look brand new, but are over 20 years old and need to be replaced! Car is 99.9% stock. The only two non-original items I spotted under the hood are injectors and the plug wires. The air box, and intercooler hoses are factory stock.
The seller gave the car a professional fresh repaint, even going as far as redoing all the trim in the correct satin black, including the grille, headlight bezels, and all the moldings. All the weather strips are new as is the hood insulation pad. The gas tank has been dropped and cleaned. Also, a fresh tune up and gas filter. Car has all the original wheels and center caps.
The interior is all original and in very good condition showing virtually no wear at all. You do have the typical sun fade due to the car having T-Tops and spending most of its life in Texas.
The doors shut like new. I drove this Grand National and it is extremely tight and rattle free. The transmission shifts nice and crisp. The age of the tires becomes evident at highway speeds. You can clearly tell this Grand National has never been run hard and having less than 70,000 miles on a 35-year-old car is low miles. The seller has gone to great extent to make the exterior like new and original in all aspects. The interior is virtually like new. Under the hood needs to be detailed as does the frame and suspension. The seller has paperwork going back to when the car was in Texas. The car was actually bought used from O’Neil Buick/GMC, which is the same dealership that handled all my 325-plus transactions! In Photo 1 we show 4 photos of this 1987 Grand National.

2010 FORD SEDAN EX-COP CAR - FOR SALE –
This 2010 Ford sedan ex-cop car, like the Dodge Ram Dually, is at the small local dealership that I work with. Used cop cars have a certain following. They have certain options or features that the regular cars lack, such as a beefed-up suspension and calibrated speedometer, which result in a better stiffer ride. Not to mention the fact that you can scare other drivers into slowing down!
This is a 2010 Ford sedan that was originally white and is now black. It still has the bolted down divider so rear passengers can’t reach the front seat area! Car is PA inspected with a straight body with 143,000 actual miles. It has the Ford V8 4.6 litre engine. The typical holes found on the exterior have been plugged where various antennas and lights would have been installed. It has wider than stock steel black wheels with dog dish hubcaps. THE KIRBAN AUTO EASEL - “AIR CLEANER STYLE” - IS COMING SOON –
With Devyn home for Spring Break, (which due to the virus has now been extended indefinitely) she and Darrell have been working on two other Auto Easel designs. The idea was to make something to capture the older muscle car market and the huge Corvette market in particular.
The key feature that all the older American Muscle cars and many street rods have in common is a carburetor topped off with an air cleaner secured by a single wing nut on a stud. Like our new hood latch design, that center stud on the air cleaner is centered on the engine.
The issue with Corvettes is that the hood opens in reverse so any display format would have to face both sides of the Corvette, rather than the front. The view from the front is blocked by the open hood.
As of this writing Darrell and Devyn already have one prototype made for cars other than the Corvette.
They are working on a similar design that will have a dual display panel geared for the Corvette market. A dual panel display will let Corvette show car owners have their display visible to both sides of their car. We predict the Corvette market will be huge as many of those owners show their pride and joy.
Local to us is a major Corvette restoration shop. I have known the owner for well over a dozen years. Years ago, his shop was near our shop in Ivyland. Like us, he moved his shop up to the Plumsteadville area. He always has at least a dozen or more early Corvettes at his shop, many of which are extremely nice cars.
In the next photo, we show the prototype of the single-sided Auto Easel display stand on various Corvettes that have an air cleaner. Like our Auto Easel for the hood latch design, this format puts the display at the center and at the proper reading level. The Auto Easel will not be affected by wind or with someone tripping over the display. We are not sure yet how big these poster signs can be as there are some limitations with the engine and the dual-sided display panel.
By making two versions using the air cleaner stud on various cars, it gives us four different Auto Easel display stands. This will cover a huge segment of the car show market. With the format of these two designs working of the air cleaner stud, I expect the retail price structure to be less than the first two versions we produced that work of the hood latch.

The bottom left and bottom right photos show it on a very rare tri-power Corvette Sting Ray. In the one photo, we turn the display panel to face forward to show how it would look on a typical A-body GTO or Chevelle.
I can’t wait to show it on a tri-power center air cleaner on a 1964 or 1965 GTO. In the GTO world, my name has a huge recognition among old-time collectors. I am a nominee for the next 3 years for the Pontiac Hall of Fame. We will be offering all four versions to the various other vendors and suppliers. Watch for updates and pricing soon on the single-sided display panel and the dual-panel display Corvette version. We expect to have these in production in time for this upcoming 2020 show car season.
MORE COLLECTIBLES FOR SALE -
These items can be found for sale in the Rare Parts section. The 1987 Buick Buyers Guide is 48 pages in length. It covers all the Buick models in full color for the 1987 model year. It shows not only the Grand National, but the desirable WE4 and a Turbo-T Limited model. What I find interesting is they actually show a WE4 without calling it a WE4. The brochures come out at the beginning of the year, so it’s evident Buick knew they would be releasing the special WE4 model in 1987. The one photo in the brochure is identical to the large WE4 banner we sell.
I also came across the postcard various dealers would mail out with their dealership information on one side. This postcard features the 1986 Grand National, which would have been the most popular and talked about model in the Buick lineup in 1986 and also in 1987.
Finding any original Buick literature today on the Turbo Regals and Grand Nationals is extremely difficult. Very little was printed back when the cars were new. The big coverage came in various car magazines once it was discovered how quick the Turbo engine was in the Regal format.

STORIES THAT CAUGHT MY INTEREST THIS PAST WEEK –
Here are some stories from this past week that caught my interest.
Two brothers hoping to capitalize on the shortages related to hand sanitizers bought up over 17,000 bottles and tried to market it on Amazon. Amazon acted quickly and locked down their ads. A smart move by Amazon as they would have faced a lot of bad publicity on letting individuals profit on the misfortunes of others. They have since apologized.
One of the most unusual stories last week happened in New York. A 90-year-old resident spearheaded a community effort to shave off multiple stories of a nearly completed Upper West Side condominium building. A judge revoked a ruling stating they may have to remove as many as 20 floors of a 52-story building.
This would not be an easy task to accomplish and the costs would be extremely high. Her claim is it blocks the view and this 52-story building would only allow the rich to see the sun and the sky. I think the simplest solution would be to simply let her have one of the condos at the same price she is paying in her current condo for the rest of her life.

I recently discovered a real nice original 1993 Camaro Pace Car for sale local to me. Car has 22,000 miles on it. The price tag seems reasonable at $14,900. I was able to reach the person in charge of the repair shop that is selling the car for their customer. They do have the Window Sticker. It is quite nice. The interior is close to mint. You can tell the car has had great care since new. I did hear it run. Interior is mint as is the body. A few hours spent detailing this car would make it show worthy. 2009 DODGE RAM 3500 DUALLY TURBO DIESEL – IS STILL AVAILABLE FOR SALE –
This is a remarkable 2009 Dodge Ram 3500 truck with just 24,000 miles on it. That averages less than 2,000 miles a year! The truck is garage kept and just one owner (a non-smoker.) It comes with Window Sticker. It’s a four-wheel drive, four door crew cab, with Laramie SLT package (top of the line), black exterior with grey leather interior. The interior still smells factory new inside and nothing shows any wear. The owner used it strictly for long trips pulling a trailer. They have a second one they use for work.

1985 REGAL LIMITED CHEVY V8 POWERED - STILL AVAILABLE - FOR SALE –
One of our relatives local to us is having us sell their custom-built 1985 Regal Limited that has been in the family since new. This 1985 Regal Limited has always been garaged, never hit, or smoked in. Our son Darrell repainted this car the factory color back in 2003 for $2,000. At 128,000 miles, the engine was converted with a brand GM 350/330 HP crate motor at a cost of $5,200. This was backed up with a rebuilt turbo 400 transmission. A local shop that we deal with redid the rear putting in a new eaton posi with, I believe, to be 3.08 gears. Gear ratio is perfect for high speed cruising.
Being a Limited, it is very well optioned and even the power antenna works. It has Bilstein shocks. Tires are fairly new. The tire size is 205/75 by 14s. Riding on the original 14 by 6 steel wheels with full Regal wheel covers.
With just a few Turbo Regal upgrades this would be an extremely nice solid handling Regal. I you install set of 16 by 8s on all four corners, a Turbo-T steering box, a rear sway bar, and a leather wheel, it will not only ride better, but look better too. The doors shut like they are brand new. The driver’s power pillow seat is the only interior part that shows very minor wear along the edge and around the power switch. A set of tasteful 3 gauges hang of the bottom edge of the dash under the radio. The power seat motor runs but does not function. Headliner will need to be replaced. The steering column has movement in the one section of the tilt.
The current mileage is 135,000, so that is less than 10,000 miles on a brand new GM crate motor. Electric fan with a V8 radiator handles the cooling. The AC has been completely rebuilt. Car has long-branch headers that dump into a new GNX exhaust system. Bigger front sway bar was installed. MSD ignition and an Edelbrock 4-barrell carburetor are fed with a cold air system. The adult owner has never once driven it hard to chirp the tires. Car still has its original half-padded roof. Body and paint are real nice with zero rust. All the stainless and emblems are in good condition. Nothing is missing. Bumpers also are close to new. All the critical labels are still intact, including the SPID label on the inside trunk lid. This car is a bargain and has had excellent care since new.

Instead they deliver the packages to the old address and leave them outside. They refuse to forward and say that we should notify the shipper. You can only run one ad at any given time. We will have a code system at the end of your ad, so we will know what week number your ad is to run - 2 or 4 weeks.

1984-1987 Buick Turbo Regal -
Reproduction GRAND NATIONAL FENDER & TRUNK EMBLEMS
We are now offering high-quality reproduction Grand National emblems for the front fenders and trunk lid. All 1986-1987 GNs used three emblems; one on each fender and one on the driver’s side trunk lid. The 1984-1985 GNs only used two emblems; one on each fender.

We have heard from a couple people that have had problems with the links in our Inner Circle.
When we check the links, they work fine. However, if you are not able to be directed to the exact website page or internet site, you can "copy" and "paste" the link into the URL in your browser (such as Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, etc.) If it doesn't link in one browser, it may work in another.
Most people having problems are using Internet Explorer. If you are having issues with links, try another browser to see if it works.
You may need to "UPDATE" your browser to be use you are using the current version.
NOTE ABOUT PHOTOS ON THE WEBSITE -
We have heard from a couple people that have viewed the photos on the website. Because these must be low-resolution photos to work on the Inner Circle segments on the website, any photos of text don't appear clear when enlarged. This is a problem when you are trying to see numbers, such as those on the VIN labels or pages from Options booklet. Also, because of photo reproduction and computer screen variations, the colors may not be true to the actual product or photo.
If you would like to have us email you any photo at the higher resolution for viewing, just email us and we will email them to you. Be sure to be specific on which pictures you want to see - Reference Inner Circle date and photo number 1, 2, 3 or 4 - [email protected]

Since expanding into used parts, I get a lot of emails and sometimes I may forget your request or may not remember who requested the item.
