OLD SCHOOL TURBO REGAL ACCESSORIES -
We mentioned last week that the 1987 Grand National we have for sale for one of our customers has several accessories on it that were made years ago. In many cases, these parts are not available anymore.

1987 GRAND NATIONAL FOR SALE -
This 1987 Grand National is one we sold back in 2003. At that time, the Grand National had 24,000 miles on it. I now have the car back at our location and selling it for the current owner. It now has 28,000 miles on it, and it is one of the cars signed by Molly on the trunk ID label. The car is a hardtop. Options include, tilt, cruise, delay wipers, AM/FM cassette, power antenna, power locks, posi rear, analog dash, body side molding, and power trunk release. This is quite unique - it has crank windows!
The car is extremely tight and rattle free. The doors shut like they did in 1987. The car was garage kept all these years and is dry underneath. The car was never smoked in. The AC blows cold, the power antenna works, and the headliner has been redone.
Car comes with all the glove box booklets, including the Owner’s Manual. A car cover is also included. The car has brand new Bilstein shocks on it.
The car has several old school upgrades, which include a finned aluminum transmission pan, a finned rear end cover, the complete Kodiak West dress-up kit under the hood, a transmission cooler, embroidered head rests, and a complete embroidered trunk kit. The Kodiak West kit is comprised of a polished aluminum turbo shield, special caps for the power steering, oil cap, radiator overflow cap, transmission cover, and oil dip stick cover. This engine dress-up kit was over $350 back in 1989.
The car also has a set of the rare Buick Motorsport valve covers. It also has our Kirban upgraded headlight kit installed and our embroidered floor mats.
The interior is near perfect. The car has no dents and all the bumper fillers are good. The car has been repainted sometime prior to 2003 and does have blemishes, notably around the chip guard portion of both sides.
The stock wheels are like new and the tires are also like new. The car has what appears to be a Hooker dual exhaust system.
This is the first time this car has been for sale since I sold it in 2003.
The new owner will also get the original flyer when the car was advertised in 2003 by us.
Since this was one of our cars originally, all the missing body bushings have been done and both the front frame braces and connecting brace have been installed. All the weatherstripping is perfect.
This is a true original 28,000-mile 1987 Grand National hardtop. The price is $22,900.

LOWEST TURBO VIN NUMBER FOR 1987 PRODUCTION -
I have a long-time customer that believes he has the lowest VIN number for the 1987 Turbo production run. This recently came up when we wrote about the 1987 Turbo-Ts that were black with a WO2 exterior Sport Package.
Production of the 1987 Turbo Regals, along with regular Regals, began at some point in August of 1986. Our local customer bought his 1987 Turbo-T brand new and the VIN reads 403505. His car also has an August built date.
Jeff Nicola’s 1987 Turbo-T that we wrote about last week with an August built date has VIN 403951. According to the Steven Dove book, “Guide to Buick GN, T-Type, & GNX,” the last Grand National built had the VIN number is 465288.
It would have been nice if the Turbo Regals had a separate VIN number sequence like GMC did with the 1991-1992 Syclones. If I remember correctly, the Syclone we owned back in 1992 was either number 6 or number 9 and was one of two that GMC used for magazine testing.
So, if you own a 1987 Turbo Regal or Grand National and the production date on the doorjamb is August of 1986, email me the last six digits of the VIN.
One of our local customers has an August 1986 buiIt date, VIN number 403505. If you have a lower VIN, email me [email protected] with proof. It is the last 6 digits of the 17 digit VIN that determines production sequence.
SOME ODD AND UNUSUAL FACTORY RADIOS -
The Corvette Stingray, Chevrolet Citation, Tucker, and Rambler Ambassador all had at least one thing in common - the radio was a vertical style radio!
This format was probably used on several other makes and models, but I am familiar with those models. One of our Buick customers, Jason out of Canada, actually owns a Tucker radio brand new in the original box. Considering the fact fewer than 55 Tuckers were produced, having a brand new factory radio for a Tucker is quite rare.
The Tucker radio was specific for the Tucker and each button had a letter on it, which spelled “Tucker!”
Another car that had an unusual style radio was the 1955 Ford. It had a circular radio, which sat between a circular heater control unit and a circular matching clock.
A LOOK AT RADIO OPTIONS -
Outside of picking exterior and interior colors for any 1984-1987 Turbo Regal, the radio was probably the only remaining option that gave you multiple choices.
For example, for 1984, 1985, and 1986 you had six choices. In 1987 Buick offered just 5 choices for the Regal model. This is besides offering a radio delete option. Unfortunately, our cars were built just prior to CDs being offered as an audio option. The cassette was still in production, at least for several more years.
Of the various radio options available on the Regals, two are extremely rare to find today.
Rarest would be the metal block off plate, which was in the dash if you elected to get a radio delete option. The next rarest is the lowly AM radio. Basically a plain Jane radio with no clock. It had a satin face unlike all the other radio options, which had a glossy black face to match the dash bezel. The radio delete got you $56 credit. To determine if your car came equipped with that feature, the ID code on the trunk label is “UL5.”
The AM radio was standard (no cost). This would be listed at the top of your Window Sticker under standard features and the optional radio would be listed in the main body of your Window Sticker along with any other upgrades or options.
The most expensive radio option was, of course, the AM/FM cassette with EQ feature. The GM description for this option was “Graphic Equalizer, Cassette and ETR AM Stereo FM Stereo Radio with Seek and Scan, Auto Reverse with Search/Repeat and Clock.” The trunk ID code in 1984 was “UU6” with a price tag of $605. In 1985 the trunk ID code for this radio option was “UX1” and the price was $494. In 1986 the trunk ID code was “UX1” and the price tag was $504. For 1987 both the trunk ID code and price remained the same as 1986.

1953 DODGE ONE-TON PICKUP TRUCK -
This 1953 Dodge Pickup truck is not one you normally see restored or modified at car shows. A few weeks back I attended the yearly Hatboro car show, which attracts 400-plus cars and trucks.
Like several towns in our area, they shut down the main street through town and line up the show cars on both sides of the street. What is nice about these events is the fact you get a wide variety of cars and trucks.
Years ago I was one of the Judges at this event and as a Judge I had to pick the top 50 cars or trucks. It was not an easy task. You would get street rods that owners spent huge money on and you would have a typical original car that would be quite rare to see today.
As I walked up the main street looking at the various cars and trucks, I spotted this fairly stock looking Dodge pickup truck. I always enjoy looking at trucks as I restored a 1947 Studebaker pickup truck years ago before trucks became popular.
Early 1950s Dodge trucks are not a common sight. This truck had a very unusual paint job. The truck sported Dodge dog-dish-style hubcaps and at a quick glance did not look like anything special. The closer I got to the truck, I began to see that someone had put an enormous amount of time and money into it. The rear wheels were custom made and were a full 16 inches wide! The paint is called “atomic orange” with a few extra drops of red added.
The fact it’s a one-ton pickup truck makes it extremely rare. It has the longer bed. In the bed of the truck is a Rampage motorcycle lift with a Harley Davidson Road King motorcycle on it. Many of the upgrades make this truck stand out from the pack, but one thing that I have never seen is the unique air cleaner assembly that sits on top of a GM 572 cubic inch motor. The air cleaner was custom built by the owner and took 240 hours to make. It is truly one of a kind. It is a bat-wing-style air cleaner, similar to what you would find on mid-1950s Caddys or vintage Hemi cars. That is what gave the owner, TW Scott, the inspiration. What made it an eye catcher is that the gears he had rotate 360 degrees around the paper filaments for air induction.
He had it rotating when the truck was parked at the show. In the one oil line around the top of the engine, he has implemented 1905 brass oilers in the line. He also used one of these brass oilers as the shifter knob.
The truck has AC, no radio, four-link suspension with coil over shocks and air ride. It has a Ford 9 inch rear fitted with 3.55 gears. The frame has been boxed and a 1972 Nova sub frame graphed to the original frame. The interior has classic instruments and retains a stock look with a bench seat decked out in three leather hides and German square weave carpet. The bed is made up of red oak boards. It has custom-made stainless tool boxes recessed into the floor of the truck. All the bolts are stainless throughout.
Mr. Scott has owned this truck for 35 years and did not start restoring it until 2008. He is the second owner. The truck was owned originally by a local farmer. He has done all the work himself, except the paint. He has 2,200 hours into the truck.
He also has restored a 1953 International Cab Over truck that he can carry his Dodge pickup truck on! He drove the truck to this event from Maryland.
NOTE - Mr. Scott would like to acknowledge other people that helped with the project...these folks were very supportive: Ron Yeager, good friend who helped with metal work and custom tooling, Darryl Yeager (Ron's brother) who painted the Atomic Orange, Steve Amadio helped with the Air cleaner, Bill Scott (my dad) who helped with inspiration and the wood bed, and Jeanette Scott (my wife) painted the POR-15 frame and lots of support.
The pictures we show below do not do this Dodge pickup truck justice.
PHOTO 3 - This photo shows what I feel is the most unique feature of this truck - the custom-made bat-wing-style air cleaner that is gear driven. Notice how the ribbed top portion of the air cleaner blends in with the valve covers. I’ve never seen brass oilers before. The inner fenders and firewall was as nice as the exterior.
PHOTO 4 - The top left photo shows the interior of the Dodge pickup truck. Notice the shifter knob. The top right photo shows the front end. The lower left shows part of the rear suspension and the 16 inch wide wheels. The lower right photo shows the Rampage lift and the Harley-Davidson bike. I think it’s great that he is not afraid to drive it. He says if the distance is less than 200 miles, they will simply drive the Dodge to an event. This truck did take Best of Show at the Hatboro event. It certainly deserved the award!
DAN GREGORY REST IN PEACE -
Dan Gregory passed away the other week, doing what he has loved to do for almost 30 years. He died at a GTO event.
The Central GTO Club of Ohio he belonged to did a fitting memorial for him last weekend. At the Ames Performance Pontiac event in Norwalk, Ohio, they put his ashes in Arnie Beswick’s race car so he could take one final trip down the track.
I first met Dan around 1980-1981. He would pack up his family and drive out to our house from Columbus, Ohio with a car load of used GTO parts. Generally, he would get to our house around 11 pm at night. He would make several of these trips a year. We would do a deal and he would turn around and drive back to Columbus, Ohio.
Later he would start his own GTO business. Over the years, I would always see him at the GTO and Pontiac National conventions. The last event where I saw him was in 2014 in Pittsburgh. Pete Serio also was a long-time good friend of Dan. We would always reminisce about the good ole days. He will be missed. His son plans to carry on his business.
CAR FOR SALE - 1970 BUICK GS455 - CFS029
Sloan documented 1970 Buick GS455, one of 5589 Hardtops produced that year. This is a Carolina car, never any northern rust.
Car was fully restored in 2012 and is in high #2 condition, one of the nicest examples in the country. Show winner first-time out.
Color is Fire Red, paint code 75, with black vinyl top.
Engine is original to the car and was rebuilt to Stage1 specs, has maybe 3000 miles on it since the rebuild.
All upholstery was redone including seats, headliner, carpeting and door panels. Has factory 8 track tape player.
Upgraded suspension, runs and drives like new, very strong like a GS455 should be, and has that great muscle car sound.
If you are looking for a beautiful 1970 GS455, the best year ever, look no further.

TIMING COVER GASKETS AND SEALS (7) KIT
This is the complete timing chain gasket kit for the original timing chain cover.
The original front seal from GM was a rope seal, which is subject to leakage.
This front seal included in this kit is a one-piece neoprene seal. Turbo applications need this better designed front seal because of the tremendous pressures the turbo engine builds up internally under boost.

1984-1987 Buick Turbo Regal -
Late-Model RADIO PLUG-IN HARNESS KIT
By using this custom harness, it allows you to plug your existing 1984-1987 Turbo Regal radio harness and antenna lead into this harness, which plugs into the later radios.
This eliminates cutting any of the factory wires. It allows the 12-pin harness to adapt to the 21-pin harness in the later AC Delco radios.
If you have a power antenna option, it will still work.
The harness and antenna lead can be seen in the photo. The big plug to the left is what the stock 3-part harness plugs into.

“The Power Pac Buick Performance and Restoration Tips” book by Steven L. Dove covers the popular Buick Turbo Regals; Grand Nationals, T-Types, Turbo-Ts, and GNXs. It was published in 1998.
The book measures 6" x 9", has 230 pages and includes eight chapters of information. One chapter highlights all the major players with fast Turbo Regals from Marka Gallina to Kenny Duttweiler. Another chapter covers transmission upgrades by Art Carr. That same chapter includes tidbits on getting your turbo car to run in the 11’s and 12’s.
A later chapter covers restoration and care of your Turbo Regal. There is a tech talk section with John Craig on turbo upgrades and a chapter on suspension and brake upgrades. Another chapter deals with all the specifications with quick data information covering all Turbo Regals from 1982 through 1987, including the GNX.
The “Guide to 1978-1987 Buick Grand National, T-Type and GNX - FACTS & FIGURES BOOK - SERIES #II” covers the history of the Buick Regal from 1978 through 1987. It has many pictures and shows actual Service Bulletins covering the Turbo Regals from GM. Very informative with many pictures and illustrations. It measures 6" x 9" and has 260+ pages, and was published in 1992.
These are great additions to your Buick library of information.

OLD SCHOOL TURBO REGAL ACCESSORIES -
We mentioned last week that the 1987 Grand National we have for sale for one of our customers has several accessories on it that were made years ago. In many cases, these parts are not available anymore.
PHOTO 1 - The first photo shows the finned rear end cover with an original Grand National emblem on it. The top right photo shows the matching finned cast transmission pan that is on this car. The lower left photo shows the embroidered logo on the front seat headrests. The lower right photo shows the matching grey center armrest that opens up for storage
PHOTO 2 - The photo on the left shows the Kodiak West turbo shield. The photo on the right shows the cast Buick Motorsports valve cover. Most of these accessories in Photo 1 and 2 can’t be bought today, unless you find them on ebay.

1987 GRAND NATIONAL FOR SALE -
This 1987 Grand National is one we sold back in 2003. At that time, the Grand National had 24,000 miles on it. I now have the car back at our location and selling it for the current owner. It now has 28,000 miles on it, and it is one of the cars signed by Molly on the trunk ID label. The car is a hardtop. Options include, tilt, cruise, delay wipers, AM/FM cassette, power antenna, power locks, posi rear, analog dash, body side molding, and power trunk release. This is quite unique - it has crank windows!
The car is extremely tight and rattle free. The doors shut like they did in 1987. The car was garage kept all these years and is dry underneath. The car was never smoked in. The AC blows cold, the power antenna works, and the headliner has been redone.
Car comes with all the glove box booklets, including the Owner’s Manual. A car cover is also included. The car has brand new Bilstein shocks on it.
The car has several old school upgrades, which include a finned aluminum transmission pan, a finned rear end cover, the complete Kodiak West dress-up kit under the hood, a transmission cooler, embroidered head rests, and a complete embroidered trunk kit. The Kodiak West kit is comprised of a polished aluminum turbo shield, special caps for the power steering, oil cap, radiator overflow cap, transmission cover, and oil dip stick cover. This engine dress-up kit was over $350 back in 1989.
The car also has a set of the rare Buick Motorsport valve covers. It also has our Kirban upgraded headlight kit installed and our embroidered floor mats.
The interior is near perfect. The car has no dents and all the bumper fillers are good. The car has been repainted sometime prior to 2003 and does have blemishes, notably around the chip guard portion of both sides.
The stock wheels are like new and the tires are also like new. The car has what appears to be a Hooker dual exhaust system.
This is the first time this car has been for sale since I sold it in 2003.
The new owner will also get the original flyer when the car was advertised in 2003 by us.
Since this was one of our cars originally, all the missing body bushings have been done and both the front frame braces and connecting brace have been installed. All the weatherstripping is perfect.
This is a true original 28,000-mile 1987 Grand National hardtop. The price is $22,900.

LOWEST TURBO VIN NUMBER FOR 1987 PRODUCTION -
I have a long-time customer that believes he has the lowest VIN number for the 1987 Turbo production run. This recently came up when we wrote about the 1987 Turbo-Ts that were black with a WO2 exterior Sport Package.
Production of the 1987 Turbo Regals, along with regular Regals, began at some point in August of 1986. Our local customer bought his 1987 Turbo-T brand new and the VIN reads 403505. His car also has an August built date.
Jeff Nicola’s 1987 Turbo-T that we wrote about last week with an August built date has VIN 403951. According to the Steven Dove book, “Guide to Buick GN, T-Type, & GNX,” the last Grand National built had the VIN number is 465288.
It would have been nice if the Turbo Regals had a separate VIN number sequence like GMC did with the 1991-1992 Syclones. If I remember correctly, the Syclone we owned back in 1992 was either number 6 or number 9 and was one of two that GMC used for magazine testing.
So, if you own a 1987 Turbo Regal or Grand National and the production date on the doorjamb is August of 1986, email me the last six digits of the VIN.
One of our local customers has an August 1986 buiIt date, VIN number 403505. If you have a lower VIN, email me [email protected] with proof. It is the last 6 digits of the 17 digit VIN that determines production sequence.
SOME ODD AND UNUSUAL FACTORY RADIOS -
The Corvette Stingray, Chevrolet Citation, Tucker, and Rambler Ambassador all had at least one thing in common - the radio was a vertical style radio!
This format was probably used on several other makes and models, but I am familiar with those models. One of our Buick customers, Jason out of Canada, actually owns a Tucker radio brand new in the original box. Considering the fact fewer than 55 Tuckers were produced, having a brand new factory radio for a Tucker is quite rare.
The Tucker radio was specific for the Tucker and each button had a letter on it, which spelled “Tucker!”
Another car that had an unusual style radio was the 1955 Ford. It had a circular radio, which sat between a circular heater control unit and a circular matching clock.
A LOOK AT RADIO OPTIONS -
Outside of picking exterior and interior colors for any 1984-1987 Turbo Regal, the radio was probably the only remaining option that gave you multiple choices.
For example, for 1984, 1985, and 1986 you had six choices. In 1987 Buick offered just 5 choices for the Regal model. This is besides offering a radio delete option. Unfortunately, our cars were built just prior to CDs being offered as an audio option. The cassette was still in production, at least for several more years.
Of the various radio options available on the Regals, two are extremely rare to find today.
Rarest would be the metal block off plate, which was in the dash if you elected to get a radio delete option. The next rarest is the lowly AM radio. Basically a plain Jane radio with no clock. It had a satin face unlike all the other radio options, which had a glossy black face to match the dash bezel. The radio delete got you $56 credit. To determine if your car came equipped with that feature, the ID code on the trunk label is “UL5.”
The AM radio was standard (no cost). This would be listed at the top of your Window Sticker under standard features and the optional radio would be listed in the main body of your Window Sticker along with any other upgrades or options.
The most expensive radio option was, of course, the AM/FM cassette with EQ feature. The GM description for this option was “Graphic Equalizer, Cassette and ETR AM Stereo FM Stereo Radio with Seek and Scan, Auto Reverse with Search/Repeat and Clock.” The trunk ID code in 1984 was “UU6” with a price tag of $605. In 1985 the trunk ID code for this radio option was “UX1” and the price was $494. In 1986 the trunk ID code was “UX1” and the price tag was $504. For 1987 both the trunk ID code and price remained the same as 1986.

1953 DODGE ONE-TON PICKUP TRUCK -
This 1953 Dodge Pickup truck is not one you normally see restored or modified at car shows. A few weeks back I attended the yearly Hatboro car show, which attracts 400-plus cars and trucks.
Like several towns in our area, they shut down the main street through town and line up the show cars on both sides of the street. What is nice about these events is the fact you get a wide variety of cars and trucks.
Years ago I was one of the Judges at this event and as a Judge I had to pick the top 50 cars or trucks. It was not an easy task. You would get street rods that owners spent huge money on and you would have a typical original car that would be quite rare to see today.
As I walked up the main street looking at the various cars and trucks, I spotted this fairly stock looking Dodge pickup truck. I always enjoy looking at trucks as I restored a 1947 Studebaker pickup truck years ago before trucks became popular.
Early 1950s Dodge trucks are not a common sight. This truck had a very unusual paint job. The truck sported Dodge dog-dish-style hubcaps and at a quick glance did not look like anything special. The closer I got to the truck, I began to see that someone had put an enormous amount of time and money into it. The rear wheels were custom made and were a full 16 inches wide! The paint is called “atomic orange” with a few extra drops of red added.
The fact it’s a one-ton pickup truck makes it extremely rare. It has the longer bed. In the bed of the truck is a Rampage motorcycle lift with a Harley Davidson Road King motorcycle on it. Many of the upgrades make this truck stand out from the pack, but one thing that I have never seen is the unique air cleaner assembly that sits on top of a GM 572 cubic inch motor. The air cleaner was custom built by the owner and took 240 hours to make. It is truly one of a kind. It is a bat-wing-style air cleaner, similar to what you would find on mid-1950s Caddys or vintage Hemi cars. That is what gave the owner, TW Scott, the inspiration. What made it an eye catcher is that the gears he had rotate 360 degrees around the paper filaments for air induction.
He had it rotating when the truck was parked at the show. In the one oil line around the top of the engine, he has implemented 1905 brass oilers in the line. He also used one of these brass oilers as the shifter knob.
The truck has AC, no radio, four-link suspension with coil over shocks and air ride. It has a Ford 9 inch rear fitted with 3.55 gears. The frame has been boxed and a 1972 Nova sub frame graphed to the original frame. The interior has classic instruments and retains a stock look with a bench seat decked out in three leather hides and German square weave carpet. The bed is made up of red oak boards. It has custom-made stainless tool boxes recessed into the floor of the truck. All the bolts are stainless throughout.
Mr. Scott has owned this truck for 35 years and did not start restoring it until 2008. He is the second owner. The truck was owned originally by a local farmer. He has done all the work himself, except the paint. He has 2,200 hours into the truck.
He also has restored a 1953 International Cab Over truck that he can carry his Dodge pickup truck on! He drove the truck to this event from Maryland.
NOTE - Mr. Scott would like to acknowledge other people that helped with the project...these folks were very supportive: Ron Yeager, good friend who helped with metal work and custom tooling, Darryl Yeager (Ron's brother) who painted the Atomic Orange, Steve Amadio helped with the Air cleaner, Bill Scott (my dad) who helped with inspiration and the wood bed, and Jeanette Scott (my wife) painted the POR-15 frame and lots of support.
The pictures we show below do not do this Dodge pickup truck justice.
PHOTO 3 - This photo shows what I feel is the most unique feature of this truck - the custom-made bat-wing-style air cleaner that is gear driven. Notice how the ribbed top portion of the air cleaner blends in with the valve covers. I’ve never seen brass oilers before. The inner fenders and firewall was as nice as the exterior.
PHOTO 4 - The top left photo shows the interior of the Dodge pickup truck. Notice the shifter knob. The top right photo shows the front end. The lower left shows part of the rear suspension and the 16 inch wide wheels. The lower right photo shows the Rampage lift and the Harley-Davidson bike. I think it’s great that he is not afraid to drive it. He says if the distance is less than 200 miles, they will simply drive the Dodge to an event. This truck did take Best of Show at the Hatboro event. It certainly deserved the award!
DAN GREGORY REST IN PEACE -
Dan Gregory passed away the other week, doing what he has loved to do for almost 30 years. He died at a GTO event.
The Central GTO Club of Ohio he belonged to did a fitting memorial for him last weekend. At the Ames Performance Pontiac event in Norwalk, Ohio, they put his ashes in Arnie Beswick’s race car so he could take one final trip down the track.
I first met Dan around 1980-1981. He would pack up his family and drive out to our house from Columbus, Ohio with a car load of used GTO parts. Generally, he would get to our house around 11 pm at night. He would make several of these trips a year. We would do a deal and he would turn around and drive back to Columbus, Ohio.
Later he would start his own GTO business. Over the years, I would always see him at the GTO and Pontiac National conventions. The last event where I saw him was in 2014 in Pittsburgh. Pete Serio also was a long-time good friend of Dan. We would always reminisce about the good ole days. He will be missed. His son plans to carry on his business.
CAR FOR SALE - 1970 BUICK GS455 - CFS029
Sloan documented 1970 Buick GS455, one of 5589 Hardtops produced that year. This is a Carolina car, never any northern rust.
Car was fully restored in 2012 and is in high #2 condition, one of the nicest examples in the country. Show winner first-time out.
Color is Fire Red, paint code 75, with black vinyl top.
Engine is original to the car and was rebuilt to Stage1 specs, has maybe 3000 miles on it since the rebuild.
All upholstery was redone including seats, headliner, carpeting and door panels. Has factory 8 track tape player.
Upgraded suspension, runs and drives like new, very strong like a GS455 should be, and has that great muscle car sound.
If you are looking for a beautiful 1970 GS455, the best year ever, look no further.

TIMING COVER GASKETS AND SEALS (7) KIT
This is the complete timing chain gasket kit for the original timing chain cover.
The original front seal from GM was a rope seal, which is subject to leakage.
This front seal included in this kit is a one-piece neoprene seal. Turbo applications need this better designed front seal because of the tremendous pressures the turbo engine builds up internally under boost.

1984-1987 Buick Turbo Regal -
Late-Model RADIO PLUG-IN HARNESS KIT
By using this custom harness, it allows you to plug your existing 1984-1987 Turbo Regal radio harness and antenna lead into this harness, which plugs into the later radios.
This eliminates cutting any of the factory wires. It allows the 12-pin harness to adapt to the 21-pin harness in the later AC Delco radios.
If you have a power antenna option, it will still work.
The harness and antenna lead can be seen in the photo. The big plug to the left is what the stock 3-part harness plugs into.

“The Power Pac Buick Performance and Restoration Tips” book by Steven L. Dove covers the popular Buick Turbo Regals; Grand Nationals, T-Types, Turbo-Ts, and GNXs. It was published in 1998.
The book measures 6" x 9", has 230 pages and includes eight chapters of information. One chapter highlights all the major players with fast Turbo Regals from Marka Gallina to Kenny Duttweiler. Another chapter covers transmission upgrades by Art Carr. That same chapter includes tidbits on getting your turbo car to run in the 11’s and 12’s.
A later chapter covers restoration and care of your Turbo Regal. There is a tech talk section with John Craig on turbo upgrades and a chapter on suspension and brake upgrades. Another chapter deals with all the specifications with quick data information covering all Turbo Regals from 1982 through 1987, including the GNX.
The “Guide to 1978-1987 Buick Grand National, T-Type and GNX - FACTS & FIGURES BOOK - SERIES #II” covers the history of the Buick Regal from 1978 through 1987. It has many pictures and shows actual Service Bulletins covering the Turbo Regals from GM. Very informative with many pictures and illustrations. It measures 6" x 9" and has 260+ pages, and was published in 1992.
These are great additions to your Buick library of information.
