NEW PART - ONE-PIECE 3" STAINLESS DOWN PIPE -

1986-1987 Buick Turbo Regal -
304 STAINLESS STEEL ONE-PIECE 3" DOWN PIPE &
CUSTOM 3" CATALYTIC CONVERTER

This one-piece 3" down pipe will work with any factory-style exhaust housing. You have to remove the exhaust elbow so this will bolt up to the turbo exhaust housing. You also have to modify the side of the turbo shield, if you plan to re-use your turbo shield.
This 3" one-piece 304 stainless steel down pipe is mandrel bent and will clear the stock inner fender and firewall.

Because of the age of these cars, it is recommended that you have fairly new motor mounts and body mounts so clearances stay consistent.

Your stock down pipe is 2-1/2" and necks to 2-1/4" in some areas. By opening up this exhaust provides better flow and compliments any other upgrades you make.

Down pipe comes with a new stainless steel band clamp and special bolts to secure down pipe to the turbo.

The #7370 photo shows this new one-piece 3" down pipe with the custom shorty catalytic converter. Since this down pipe is longer than the stock down pipe, it requires a shorter catalytic converter or dump pipe. The engine photo shows how it installs on the side of the turbo. You have to remove the factory exhaust elbow, so this can bolt up to the exhaust housing. In order to re-use the turbo shield, you have to cut off the exterior side of the turbo shield.

NOTE - Because of the length of this down pipe, you have to either buy our special length catalytic converter or make a dump pipe.

A nice performance upgrade to compliment any other performance modifications you make.

7369 - 1986-1987 Buick Turbo Regal -
304 Stainless Steel ONE-Piece 3" Down Pipe $449.95

7370 - 1986-1987 Buick Turbo Regal -
304 Stainless Steel ONE-Piece 3" Down Pipe &
Custom 3" Catalytic Converter $674.95

PHOTO 1 - Shows this new one-piece 3" down pipe with the custom shorty catalytic converter. NOTE - Since this down pipe is longer than the stock one, it requires a shorter catalytic converter or dump pipe. The lower photo shows how it installs on the side of the turbo. You have to remove the factory exhaust elbow, so this can bolt up to the exhaust housing. In order to re-use the turbo shield, you have to cut off the exterior side of the turbo shield.

MORE ON CHEVROLETS 100TH ANNIVERSARY -

It appears that GM has made a special edition 100th Anniversary model Corvette. I don't see where Chevrolet has done anything special on any other of their Chevrolet models. This special 100th Anniversary Corvette lists for $63,990. (A dealer near us has one for sale). It has a special Carbon Flash Metallic paint scheme with an ebony interior. From what I can see on the exterior it has two unique 100th Anniversary logos on the car.

PHOTO 2 - Unfortunately, the first photo does not show up real well, as it is a black and grey decal they put on the pillar behind the door. The second photo shows the wheel center cap that is unique to the mag wheels on this Corvette. It has the same exact logo design as the decal on the exterior pillar. (See this issue's Parts Listing as I have several of these wheel center caps for sale).

PHOTO 3 - This first photo shows one of the actual black alloy wheel on this same 100th anniversary Corvette. It seems any more, most car manufacturers are going with black or grey alloy wheels. Personally, I think they lack the impact of say a polished or chrome wheel. This idea of a painted mag-style wheel is nothing new. The second photo shows a copy of a flyer I have in my personal collection when Hurst back in 1965 made that one of the options with their 14" by 6" mag wheels. You could paint the center area any color you wanted to compliment your car! Proving the idea of painted mag wheels is not a new idea!

Our customer has moved the SLP Firehawk to his brothers place and has now given me his 1990 Mustang 5-speed notchback to sell. This notchback has been parked and not run since 1992. The car has just 5,500 actual miles on it.

PHOTO 4 - Shows various pictures of this 1990 Ford Mustang notchback that we are selling for our customer. The asking price is $11,500. Finding 100% stock Fox body Mustangs that are five speeds today is far tougher than finding a totally stock Turbo Regal. Parts for these cars are plentiful and cheap. I am familiar with these cars since we owned 3 different ones back in the early 1990s. At the time, we started to make parts for the Mustang. A fun car that was not only cheap to own but parts are inexpensive.

If you are interested in this notchback Mustang or you know someone who is, email me [email protected]. I can send over 20 photos. Keep in mind, this car has not been started or turned over since 1992. It would need all the fluids flushed, battery replaced, and from a safety standpoint new tires. The one very unique option this car has is a factory Ford engine block heater. I had never seen one before. Car has an aftermarket pop-up roof.

CARS FOR SALE UPDATE -

I did get a buyer for the 1995 Mercedes Benz C36. I actually got to drive it. Car is quite a unique automobile with tremendous handling capabilities and the shortest turning radius of any car I had ever driven. No wind noise, even at 100 mph. Acceleration is impressive. For under $7,000, this car was a great bargain, especially since fewer than 200 where made in 1995. From what I have read, 1995 was the first year AMG was an option on Mercedes Benz.

The other Mercedes I had seen locally must have been sold, as it is no longer sitting where I saw it nor can I reach the owner.

ANOTHER CAR FOR SALE -

Again, local to me, sits a real nice original 1984 6-speed Corvette for sale, low miles, 6-speed and priced under $6,000. I know this model is not high up on the value chain, but it has low miles and appears in nice shape. The price is $5995. My Price Guide books show this car is worth more than double that amount for the condition of this car. If you are interested, email me - [email protected]. I can provide photos and more detailed information.

ANOTHER RARE FIND FOR SALE -

I was in the right place at the right time. The end result is we found an original 1967 Corvette 4-speed coupe that has been garaged and not started since 1986. Car has only had 2 owners. Very few options, am/fm, and has the GM factory side pipes installed. The car has a Goodwood green exterior against a tan leather interior. The car has only had one correct repaint done back in 1974, which cost $1,000 back then. Car was never ever been hit. Mileage is 73,000 original. Car is bone stock and the build sheet is still visible on top of the gas tank. The car has absolutely NO rust underneath anywhere! That is a critical area of concern when looking to purchase an unrestored older Corvette. Car is the small block 327/300 HP version. Very hard to find one like this.

The husband had passed away several years ago, and he had owned the car since 1974. The wife, who is still alive in her 80s, recently let my friend Greg buy the car. We have pictures of the lady and where it sat all these years. It will need tires fluids flushed etc. Interior is like mint. Here is a chance to own a desirable last year for the Corvette Stingray in a 4-speed. The price is $34,500 firm.

ONE OF THE BEST COMEDY TV SHOWS -

One of the best TV comedy shows is on every Wednesday night, 9 pm eastern time, called "Modern Family." If you have never seen this show, you can go on the internet or if you have Roku check out last week's episode 12-7-11. By far, it's one of the best 30 minutes of a sitcom you will see this year.

MINI CONTEST UPDATE -

If you go on ebay and type in Buick emblems, you can usually a wide variety of different Buick emblems.

Steve Lang, a customer of ours from Illinois, located one of these emblems like the one we showed, being sold by seller in Australia. Unfortunately, he never heard back from the seller nor did the seller indicate where that emblem was used originally. It may have been something that was never used in a North American production car. That may be the reason I had never seen one until I recently acquired this one. The ebay number was #300627403537. This same seller shows one with a white background as ebay #400081700588.

GRAY PALLEX SEAT MATERIAL -

The gray pallex seat material has now been sold out. I had over 40 yards on one single roll of this material and it is now all gone. This was a rare find for us to get last summer!

GNX MECUM AUCTION UPDATE -

The GNX at the Kansas City Missouri auction we mentioned in a previous Inner Circle was a NO SALE! The website does not list the highest bid.

SLP FIREBIRD FORMULA NEW LOWER PRICE -

The seller now is dropped the asking price to $22,900. This is for the 400-mile red 2002 SLP Formula Firebird we pictured in the 11-16-2011 Inner Circle. This car will be finding a new home at some point.

URGENT REQUESTS FOR CORES -

Currently we need stock complete powermaster brake units. They are worth a $100 Letter of Credit on any website parts.

We also need stock original 1986-1987 AC Delco mass air flow sensors. They are worth a $25 Letter of Credit.

Last, but not least, we also need stock complete 1986-1987 turbos. They are worth a $100 Letter of Credit.

We do not pay cash. You must pay the shipping to us and pack the item well. Using the postal system is probably the cheapest method to ship.

Remember, cores help us help others keep their Turbo Regals on the road using factory parts. Without cores, a valuable portion of what customers need get discontinued.

ALWAYS IN A BUYING POSITION WORKS -

Got any turbo parts you are not using? Why not cash them in for parts you need with a Letter of Credit. Simply email me a list - [email protected].

Also, we are still buying dead or partially dead 1984-1987 Turbo Regals under $4,000 that are within 250 to 350 miles of our location.

NOTE ABOUT PHOTOS ON THE WEBSITE - We have heard from a couple people that have viewed the photos on the website. Because these have to be low-resolution photos to work on the Inner Circle segments on the website, any photos of text don't appear clear when enlarged. This is a problem when you are trying to see numbers, such as those on the VIN labels or pages from Options booklet. Also, because of photo reproduction and computer screen variations, the colors may not be true to the actual product or photo.

If you would like to have us email you any photo at the higher resolution for viewing, just email us and we will email them to you. Be sure to be specific on which pictures you want to see - Reference Inner Circle date and photo number 1, 2, 3 or 4 - [email protected].
