They can swell up when you apply the brakes and eventually the hoses may split. Swelling can also be attributed to a softer brake pedal. As any car restorer can tell you, one of the best upgrades you can make to the brake system is to replace the factory flexible rubber-like brake hoses with stainless braided hoses. We offer this complete set, which includes a hose for each front wheel and the hose that connects the back lines by the top rear axle housing. The hoses carry the DOT label. Once installed, the end result, with no other changes, is a slightly harder pedal. It restores confidence when depressing the brake pedal. We also recommend a fresh brake flush at the same time you replace these hoses.
