Greetings Turbo Regal Inner Circle Members 01-11-2023 - HEMMINGS MAGAZINES - As many of you know, many automotive magazines in recent years have ceased to exist. Bucking the trend, Hemmings has managed to survive and prosper with 3 different magazines. I have been subscribing to all three for a number of years. Quality and content is second to none. Even their Hemmings Motor News which has been published since 1954. That first issue sold 500 copies at 50 cents each! Considered to be the “Bible” in the Old car collector market. I still remember around circa 1973 placing my first ad in Hemmings under Pontiac. I bought an all original 1965 GTO 4-speed car for $350. I stopped to show my wifes cousin the car he had, a 1965 GTO that I believe he bought brand new. I told my friends I was going to put it in Hemmings for $1350. They all laughed at me and said I would never get that amount of money! They were wrong. A guy flew out from Illinois…not only did he buy it he said if you get any more GTOS to call him he would be a buyer for nice original GTOs. I think over a time frame of a few short years he would fly out and drive over a dozen of the 1964-1967s back home to Illinois and resell them. A few used some oil on the trip but none of them broke down on the trip back to Illinois. My wife's cousin's red 1965 GTO? Years later I would sell it for him to Ron in western, Pennsylvania. The original owner of the last GNX built 547. A small world! PHOTO 1 - We show the 3 different title magazines Hemmings publishes. The Classic car and Muscle Machines usually come the same day. They did an article about me about 20 years ago at our old house. They are listed for sale under the Rare Parts section. NEW PART AVAILABLE - In 2005 my son and I went out to Bill Campbells house located near Malvern, PA to do a video interview. Bill Campbell was the co-founder of Hurst-Campell and Hurst Performance having met up with George Hurst in the 1950s. Bill was the engineer whereas George was the PR marketing person. That combo worked well for a number of years until Bill left in 1969. Bill passed away a few years ago. I've been working with a local guy to convert the video to a USB Flash Drive and we now have it available. I also was able to locate on an old tape original footage of the original Hemi-Under-Glass car doing wheelies in the employee parking lot back in circa 1965-66 time frame. Also on this same USB Flash Drive is footage of Jim Neilsons jet powered Mercedes Benz Limo doing a short blast in front of our old house on Sugar Bottom Road. The noise was deafening and a neighbor called the police thinking a jet had crashed nearby! Over 1 hour and 50 minutes total! As a bonus we include a copy of the Hurst wheel catalog from 1965. Over 30 pages. Simply go to our website #8052 part number under search. The price is just $36.95 with free shipping. We ship from our Pennsylvania location. Produced locally to us so stock is never an issue. Video is well done since I was the interviewer and knew a lot about Hurst. I was able to ask Bill great questions. I think this is the only interview he ever conducted. A piece of History on what has to be considered the most popular manual shifter of all time. On a side note: Working locally with this computer wizard I found he is converting the VHS tapes of the 1985, 1988 and 1990 Kirban Reunion events. The 1985 was the very first Kirban Reunion event. The 1988 was also done at our house on Sugar Bottom Road. The real big event was the 1990 at the Johnsville Airbase with Davy Jones and Molly as our special guests and GMC with their new Syclone! This USB flash drive will be available soon. Watch for updates. So much history that will never be duplicated again and now I found a way to save it and share with new and old customers. No other muscle car event I am aware of ever featured 98 Grand Nationals bumper to bumper in 2 solid rows. Plus GNX 547 was there as well. Davy Jones for the GTO crowd was just as popular as Molly was for the Turbo Regal crowd. PHOTO 2 - We show the Hurst wheel catalog booklet the USB Flash Drive alongside the cover to the original 2005 DVD we used to sell. We show a lot of Bill's personal collection as well as his cars and even his Prevost bus! (He had a big garage!) PARTS FOR SALE THIS WEEK - Since we have the file for both of the banners we did we had these printed locally on high quality photographic paper stock. The Buick Triple Black Threat poster I have personally autographed. We have no plans to market these photographic printed posters to any other vendors/suppliers. They are just available through Kirban Enterprises and with payment by paypal only. See the Rare Parts section for prices. Due to their smaller size, they are great to use for display at a car show. PHOTO 3 - We show both the Buick Triple Black Threat poster which measures 18 inches by 6 inches. Like our bigger vinyl 13 ounce banner I will personally autograph this poster version as well. The Top Ten Reasons to own a Buick Grand National poster measures approximately 18 inches by 12 inches. AN ORIGINAL 1986 BUICK DEALER ALBUM - This is a rare find: an original 1986 Buick Dealer album with a near perfect vinyl binder. No marks on it at all. Most dealer albums simply got tossed out at the end of each model year. Some you find today are missing the Regal section. This one has the Regal section. PHOTO 4 - We show the cover and several of the inside pages. None of the pages appear to have any hand written notes on them and the 3 ring holes are intact. All these parts can be found under the Rare Parts section. I have several deals in the works for more parts hopefully come this Spring. WE HAVE MORE BRAKE BOWLS IN STOCK - It is best to contact the office to be certain you get one. These are located at our Pennsylvania location and would ship from our Pennsylvania location. . OUR 1996 FORD RANGER XLT FOR SALE IS ALSO STILL AVAILABLE - This is one of our personal vehicles that we have owned for 9 years. A very long time for me to keep a vehicle! Most of my vehicles seldom have one birthday! It has always been garaged during that time and based on how nice the original paint is the truck was probably garaged most of its life. Car does not leak anything. New tires, new brake lines, new brakes, battery all maintenance done at a timely matter. Wheels are updated to the later Ranger 15 inch wheels. Interior has all been redone and is like new. The body is super straight with no dents and with zero rust. Truck a 5-speed manual shift with crank windows. Actual miles is 196,000. My email is [email protected] WE CAN MARKET YOUR CAR - When the time comes you need to downsize or simply move on. We can market your car for you. Especially now with Spring and Summer fast approaching. We handle the advertising and answering the questions and weeding out the tire kickers. We never give out the exact location of your car. You decide on the price after any bargaining is done. The money goes directly from the buyer to your bank account. I have a flat commission based on the price span. This format has worked out very well for me for both the buyer and the seller. The buyer has more confidence about the car especially if you are a long time owner and a customer of ours. . The seller is not bothered with phone calls or emails. Most potential buyers know who I am. So whenever the time comes you want to sell your car, email me the particulars. I can explain the process to you which also allows you to sell the car as well. My email is [email protected] I can also help you determine the price. I can also take in a trade and pay you the seller the difference. I have worked with JJ Best in the past which is quite generous in granting loans. So you have plenty of options. We also work with a broker that can handle transport both open and enclosed. This transport broker is a customer of ours and owns personally a 9,000 mile Grand National! He just had the last 3 cars I sold transported to their new homes! The car needs not be a Turbo Regal. NEED A CAR TRANSPORTED? - Whether you need an open transport or enclosed transport we highly recommend Sal Hamed. Sal is a broker with a number of transporters and can get you the best price. He knows what you expect as he personally owns a 9,000 mile original Grand National and is a customer of ours. You must use my name when contacting him to get a special price. His email is [email protected] We highly recommend his services! His phone number is 919-808-8483. CANADIAN CUSTOMERS - You must contact our office. NOTE - ABOUT LINKS IN THE INNER CIRCLE - We have heard from a couple people that have had problems with the links in our Inner Circle. When we check the links, they work fine. However, if you are not able to be directed to the exact website page or internet site, you can "copy" and "paste" the link into the URL in your browser (such as Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, etc.) If it doesn't link in one browser, it may work in another. Most people having problems are using Internet Explorer. If you are having issues with links, try another browser to see if it works. You may need to "UPDATE" your browser to be used if you are using the current version. NOTE ABOUT PHOTOS ON THE WEBSITE - We have heard from a couple people that have viewed the photos on the website. Because these must be low-resolution photos to work on the Inner Circle segments on the website, any photos of text don't appear clear when enlarged. This is a problem when you are trying to see numbers, such as those on the VIN labels or pages from Options booklet. Also, because of photo reproduction and computer screen variations, the colors may not be true to the actual product or photo. If you would like to have us email you any photo at the higher resolution for viewing, just email us and we will email them to you. Be sure to be specific on which pictures you want to see - Reference Inner Circle date and photo number 1, 2, 3 or 4 - [email protected]
