NO WEEKLY INNER CIRCLE FOR NEXT TWO WEEKS -

With Christmas and New Year's both falling on a Wednesday, we will not be sending out our Inner Circle for the next two weeks. We will resume our weekly Inner Circle emails the following Wednesday, January 8th, 2014.

MAGNA CLUB LUNCHEON -

PHOTO 2 - It spoke at the Magna Club's end-of-the-year banquet on Saturday, December 7th. The top photo shows the unique cake at their event. The bottom photo shows some of the members of the club. Everyone was still wide awake, since I had not given my talk yet!

SEVERAL AUTOMOTIVE MILESTONES COMING IN 2014 -

I am referring to 2014 automotive milestones specifically related to my youth.

One of which became the very first car we based our company on. I am referring to the Pontiac GTO. The other car is the Mustang. Both cars turn 50 in 2014. The Mustang holds the edge, since it has always been in production. The GTO ceased production with 1974 and was granted new life briefly in 2004 through 2006.

One lucky woman - Gail Wise, out of Illinois, purchased the very first 1964 Mustang two days prior to the official sales launch. More impressive, she has kept the car all these years.

To my knowledge, no one in the GTO world has stepped forward saying they own the very first 1964 GTO that was sold to the public.

In 1964 I was at that magical age of 17 when cars, specifically muscle cars, were a big part of my life over schoolwork. I think we would all agree that from the mid-1960s until around the early 1970s, the variety of U.S. produced muscle cars was at its peak.

They didn’t handle like today's cars, but for design and straight line performance, it was a great time to be a teenager.

BRAKE BOWL UPDATE -

We expect to have the Cardone brake bowls at the end of this week.

We should be filling all our back orders and vendor orders for brake bowls just prior to Christmas with delivery just after Christmas.

At this point, we are all caught up with rebuilt powermaster brake units. So, if you need one, call 215-766-1611 x 0.

GMP DIECAST TURBO REGAL MODEL -

Another diecast model GMP produced was the 1986 Designer Series in the popular black and grey combination. It is done in the larger 1:18 scale and limited to 2,598 produced.

As you probably are aware, all 1986 T-Types had the black- out trim. The Designer series also got the Grand National rear spoiler. The option code for this was "WH1" and had a retail price of $403. GM referred to it as the "Designers’ Package."

PHOTO 3 - In the top photo we show the actual GMP 1:18 scale Designer Series diecast car. In the bottom photo we show the outer box on the top and the inner box on the bottom. This inner box has been autographed by Molly in the lower left hand corner.

OLDSMOBILE TOURING SEDAN -

In the 11-27-2013 issue of the Inner Circle, in the ASC article we mentioned they also produced the Touring Sedan for Oldsmobile for a few years. I believe these cars had every option Oldsmobile offered in the full-size models and only came in a handful of available colors.

PHOTO 4 - This is a photo of a brand new Oldsmobile Touring emblem from my private collection. This emblem is made from the same material as the Grand National fender emblems and measures about 2" in diameter. I'm not sure where it was used, but it is designed to sit flat.

COMING SOON - T TYPE FENDER COVERS -

We will soon have available our new T-Type fender covers from Fender Grippers. Covers will be in color and have the catch phrase "T-TYPE - A BOOST OF BUICK PERFORMANCE." These will be made in the U.S.A., fully GM licensed, and they will be available from all the other turbo Buick vendors.

These should be available in early January.

DISCONTINUED - 10 ohm REAR SPEAKERS, Part #7456 -

We have depleted our supply of #7456 - 1984-1987 Buick Regal (All Models) -
10 ohm Delco Rear Speakers.

We still have the #7469 - 1984-1987 Buick Regal (All Models) -
6 ohm Delco Rear Speakers available which, are just $59.95 per pair. These have the correct, original-style OEM plug on them to fit the factory harness and fit exactly like the factory speakers in the back deck area. Supplies of these are also limited.

It is very difficult to find correct speakers for our cars with the correct plug on them and which will fit the factory cage that secures the speaker to the rear package shelf.

NEW PRODUCTS FROM US -

GM LICENSED -

“BUICK MOTORSPORTS” FENDER COVER

The “BUICK MOTORSPORTS” logo is silk screened in white, red and yellow on a 34" x 22" black fender cover. It is made from a non-slip cushioned material, so it won’t slide off the fender.

Because the surface is non-slip, it holds your tools in place. It is impervious to automotive fluids, such as motor oil, brake fluid, coolant, etc.

It is made in the U.S.A. by Fender Gripper®, a division of SSnake-Oyl™, and is licensed by GM.

This recognizable logo is sure to appeal to any Buick owner. We offer it individually Part #7647 or as a pair Part #7648.

These fender covers are a must-have addition to your garage items, and can also be stored in the trunk in case you need to protect the fenders while away from the garage.

Our photos show the fender cover flat, and as it appears folded in half.

This fender cover also makes a unique gift for any Buick enthusiast or mechanic.

NOTE ABOUT PHOTOS ON THE WEBSITE -

We have heard from a couple people that have viewed the photos on the website. Because these have to be low-resolution photos to work on the Inner Circle segments on the website, any photos of text don't appear clear when enlarged. This is a problem when you are trying to see numbers, such as those on the VIN labels or pages from Options booklet. Also, because of photo reproduction and computer screen variations, the colors may not be true to the actual product or photo.

If you would like to have us email you any photo at the higher resolution for viewing, just email us and we will email them to you. Be sure to be specific on which pictures you want to see - Reference Inner Circle date and photo number 1, 2, 3 or 4 - [email protected].
